School supplies

Thumbprint envelope and card

A paper house for her little rubber frog.

Jessica from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

A few things from school

A self portrait Alex drew of her being a painter when she grows up.

Her class must have learned about Jackson Pollock.

Alex's friend, Jennifer (who is from Beijing), gave her this invitation yesterday. Alex is over at her house right now cooking and enjoying delicious homemade chinese food. Yum.

Conference

Various things Alex drew in her notebook during conference. I love how she is looking more closely at details as she draws things she sees.

Yes, um, a crown...that wasn't true to life.

A purse she just received as a gift with many many sequins on it. I can't believe she stuck it out to draw them all...almost.

President Holland. Can you tell (jowels...)?

Mother's Day

A card made at school. She said she didn't know what the front of the card said. :) She a lot of the time can say the words in chinese, but doesn't know what they mean. Come on Alex!!

This says something like "I love you very much, mommy." I could be way off though...

A "thumbprint" card. I love these!

At school, Alex drew a picture of me cooking eggs and gave it to me after the first grade sang for their mom's on the Friday before Mother's day.
